Monday, July 7th, 2008

Metal Blade Records announced they signed the influential Boston metalcore band OVERCAST. The band will release a new album titled, Reborn To Kill Again on August 19th.

After disbanding in 1998, many of Overcast’s members continued on to join/form some of the most prominenet bands in metal, such as Shadows Fall, Seemless, and Killswitch Engage. Since 2006, they’ve reunited on a few occasions and even written new material together.

Their release, due out on August 19th, will have 11 classic songs completely re-recorded by the band and put onto one album. The band also put 2 brand new songs on Reborn To Kill Again.

You can read the press release with statments from the band and label after the jump. (more…)

Shadows Fall Are Grammy Nominees…Again!

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Shadows Fall

Atlantic recording artists and Syndicate management client SHADOWS FALL received a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance” for the song “Redemption” from their critically acclaimed major label debut, Threads of Life. Clearly a leader in their genre, this marks the band’s second Grammy nomination in the category, and follows their nod at the 2006 awards for “What Drives The Weak” from their Century Media release, The War Within.

Threads Of Life dominated the metal charts peaking at #1 on every major loud rock chart. This was thanks in part to the hard work of The Syndicate’s loud rock radio division who spearheaded the radio campaign for The Shads.

Tune into the Grammy Awards this week (2/10) to see if the band brings home the gold.

Shadows Fall | Threads Of Life In Stores Now!

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

Threads Of LifeIf you can only buy one thing this week, you’re probably picking up Guitar Hero for the XBox 360. However, if you don’t have a 360 or the last video game you bought was Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis, you should head down to your nearest record store and pick up Shadows Fall’s major label debut Threads of Life.

If you’re a fan of the band and have supported them in the past, then you won’t be disappointed by the new one. If you’re just a fan of them from hearing “The Light That Blinds” on Guitar Hero 2 (see, I had a point), then the new album will impress you even more.

It’s available at retail stores, but you can pick it up online at iTunes (also available in a bonus version) or on Amazon.

And don’t forget that Shadows Fall are currently on the Jagermeister Music Tour.
