It’s going to be a pretty hectic fall for STEREOPHONICS. Over the next few months we will see The UK trio unleash a slew of new music upon us here in the states as well as their first US tour in nearly 3 years. So say there might be some saturation from Kelly Jones, Richard Jones, and Javier Weyler is an understatement.

First up will be their album, Pull The Pin which comes out on September 9th. Though the album has already be out overseas for the last year, it never got a proper release stateside (mostly in part because the band’s previous label, V2 closed its doors) and will be the band’s first album released here since 2005.

November 18th will mark the release of Decade In The Sun: The Best Of Stereophonics. The band’s greatest hits that will contain tracks from the band’s entire studio album catalog as well as 2 new tracks.

The band is also taking advantage of V2 closing to re-release their entire catalog on their own record label, Vox Populi. So before the end of the year you can get the entire 11-year history of Stereophonics. Not a bad way to go back to school.

ADAM TURLA lead singer/drinker of MURDER BY DEATH has released a new track online. The song, called “The Moon Is Up” was posted on a myspace page Turla made for the song, which is described as a B-Side.

Is seems Turla posted the track strictly to share, because reading the page gives off no notification there’s a solo album in the works. No art, no friends and a post that friend requests and comments will not be approved.

CLUTCH are gearing up to release their first ever live DVD, Full Fathom Five on August 12th. The DVD will be culled from 4 live shows recorded in late 2007. Along with the DVD, there will be an accompanying live audio CD of the shows.

The band just debuted a live version of “Texan Book Of The Dead”. Check it out and get a preview of some live Clutch.

ROB DICKINSON, former frontman of highly influential British band CATHERINE WHEEL is set to re-release his debut solo album, Fresh Wine For The Horses. The album will be released as a two disc set on June 10th. The album will have one new song, “End Of The World”. The bonus disc will contain 6 acoustic versions of classic Catherine Wheel songs.

A few days ago, MURDER BY DEATH was in town to headline the Bowery Ballroom. Earlier the same day, I put the band’s lead singer Adam Turla in my car and headed down the road to WSOU for an on-air interview with the radio station and it’s central Jersey audience.

About halfway through the interview, Adam busted out a steel guitar and performed an acousic version of the song “‘52 Ford”, from the band’s latest album Red Of Tooth And Claw. I snapped pictures and the folks at the station were nice enough to record Adam’s performance.

Murder By Death Give Us Some Tooth And Claw Updates

MURDER BY DEATH have more updates on their upcoming 4th studio album, Red Of Tooth And Claw. We already know the new album will be released on March 4th via Vagrant Records. Now we have some more updates.

1 – The album’s art has been released, peep it now. It has dancing wolves on it making it pretty much the awesomest thing we’ve ever seen.

2 – A new track from the album, “Fuego” has been posted on their myspace page. Go listen…now! Shit’s hotter than a tin roof in the Alabama summer.

3 – You can pre-order Red Of Tooth And Claw on blue vinyl now! Somewhere, off in the darkness of some midwestern ghost town, there’s a skeleton wearing a holster full of guns, shedding a tear for justice.

All these updates are amazing! It’s kinda like the band held a meeting and asked each other, “Hey what are things we can to make Matt’s head explode? Okay, lets do all of them just to be sure our bases are covered.”

EXCLUSIVE: Dane Cook Is All About “TiTo”

Being big fans in the office, we’ve been anticipating the upcoming DANE COOK album Rough Around The Edges: Live From Madison Square Garden, due out on November 13th. The album is from a live performance Dane had late last year. The cd is also accompanying a DVD of the performance to complete the audio visual experience.

Now, here and only here is your chance to hear a clip of the album. In it, Dane talks about something that at least I can relate to. Recording tv shows with the TiVo.

The King Left | The Annex, NYC | 6.26.2007

New York’s THE KING LEFT played another packed show at the Annex Tuesday night. The band laid down the rock from start to finish, opening with an excellent re-worked verison of “We All Fall Down” off their first EP, that is hand clap-tastic, in a tasteful way. After blazing through selections off both EP’s, they ended with the jam, “The Storm in The Teacup” off their New York Nothing EP, which you can download below. The infectious beat and clever lyrics will make you keep this song on repeat at least 3 times, maybe 4. Guaranteed. Seriously.
