Southern rock/hardcore up-and-comers MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER have released their epic first video, “Dry the River”. The story follows the the six sons of disaster as they try to avoid their ultimate demise (the band’s songs are loosely based on the concept that they are the re-incarnated sons of 1920’s mob boss Ma Barker). The single comes from the band’s latest album, II, which was released earlier this year on Ferret Music. The band is currently on tour with He Is Legend and Modern Life is War, followed by a run on the Warped Tour.

Our good friends at Ferret Music are helping us bring you a track from one of their newest signings, MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER. The band, fronted by former UNDEROATH vocalist Dallas Taylor, features a fresh new flavor of southern-fried hardcore. The band’s songs tells tales loosely based on infamous 1930s mob boss Ma Barker and her sons in the Barker-Karpis gang. We think this band is going to dominate in 2007 after their new album, II, hits stores next Tuesday.
