Interpol | Madison Square Garden, NYC | 9.14.2007

INTERPOL took the stage at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden last week for their largest headlining show yet. The band’s nearly 2 hour set focused itself on material from their most recent effort Our Love To Admire, but saw the biggest crowd reaction during tracks from 2004’s Antics and their 2002 debut Turn On The Bright Lights. The band used a variety of stage backdrops and lighting schemes to highlight the songs, but (characteristic of Interpol) remained mostly stationary on the enormous MSG stage. Liars and Cat Power served as the openers to the show. (more…)

How Are Things On The West Coast?“How Are Things On The West Coast?” is a great way to open a song. And for a NYC-based band like INTERPOL it offers a much better juxtaposition.

The band just released the video for the first single “The Heinrich Maneuver” from their upcoming new album Our Love To Admire. The first release for the band on a major label.

It has a cool vibe to it. Kinda like what one would see during the opening credits of a James Bond film. Ahh Interpol, surprising us again with that slow motion ending.
