All Points West (Radiohead) | Liberty State Park, NJ | 8.8 - 8.9.2008

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

The first (annual?) All Points West festival took place in Jersey City this weekend. But it wasn’t really so much a festival, as just a big RADIOHEAD show with a lot of bands playing (at least from my point of view).

FRIDAY
The festivities kicked off Friday afternoon. Grizzly Bear delivered an awesome set on the side stage filled with brand new songs and favorites from Friend and Yellow House. Then Underworld got the crowd into a dancing mood before the highlight attraction took the stage. (more…)

Warped Tour | Merriweather Post Pavillion Columbia, MD | 7.16.2008 | By Brian Graber

The summer institution that is Warped Tour rolled through the “DC Area” at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on Wednesday. With no clouds, no humidity and a high of roughly 90, it seemed like a great day and it was for the most part.

HOWEVER, how can you have AGAINST ME! play at 11:45AM?!?! For realz? I then proceeded to run to the main stage and heard the end of “Sink, Florida, Sink,” “Don’t Lose Touch” and “Thrash Unreal.” You win some and lose some, but I didn’t want to lose that one. MFers… (more…)

I Got Bamboozled | By Alisha Miranda

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

THE BAMBOOZLE 2008 was an unforgettable experience this time around. Once in a life time sets by legendary acts such as Snoop Dogg, Jimmy Eat World, Coheed & Cambria, and even special performances such as Vinny from The Movielife were my top picks for this year’s festival. As a rare festival attendee, I got to witness some performances I will not see again for a long time. (more…)
