DETHKLOK will soon be able to rock you in action figure form. Shocker Toys is putting together a limited edition run of the band. Only 500 pieces will be made and go for about $80 a pop. The toys will make their debut at this year’s Comic Con which is only a few weeks away in San Diego. (July 24th-27th).

Kidrobot has been droppin’ bombs all over the place for the last week or so. First with the new Yo Gabba Gabba items, then the Pirate Store going up in NYC, than a brief note that they’re expanding into a new 2-store shop right now (eep!! Awesome!!), and now this – quite possibly my favorite bit yet.

Kidrobot has teamed with yet another SYN fav, [adult swim] for a new line of blind-box minis. The new line will feature characters from a wide selection of [as] originals, including Metalocalype, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law, The Venture Brothers, and more. This is quite simply awesome.

My hope? That this will just be the initial first-series run of an ongoing new toy series from two truly kick-neck brands.

Since our favorite fast food heroes, Aqua Teen Hunger Force reside in New Jersey, we should not be surprised their neighbor Carl is a NY Giants fan. So the other day, when the football team clinched the championship putting them in the Super Bowl. Our favorite 2D Jersey-ite had some colorful things to say about the team’s competition the New England Patriots. He also had some colorful things to say about his own team. Carl, it’s rants like this that make us love you.

The season premire of Aqua Teen Hunger Force debuted last night and it was chock full of special guests including a couple they tried to pass off as THE WHITE STRIPES but as soon as the couple spoke it became very apparent it was not the famed rock duo.

But the show was not full of disappointments. In fact it gave us the impression that our favorite food groups are somewhere locked up (the had no screen time last night) and we might get to see them make a break for it in the near future. In addition to a shake, meat, and fryless episode, we were also introduced to new robotic characters, voiced by Fred Armisen and Rachel Dratch. These robots went on a tear harrasing Carl the entire episode. This new season seems to be star-studded for not only are Armisen and Dratch apppearing, but musicians like Neko Case, Josh Homme, T-Pain, Kelly Hogan, and one former baseball player, John Kruk are all set to surface this season.

The best thing is, you can watch the entire first episode on the AS website here and not take my pitiful review of it for granted.

DETHKLOK are hitting the road at the end of the month for a tour of college campuses with …and you will know us by the Trail of Dead for the [adult swim] Presents Tour. The tour will be in the style of the Gorillaz tour with the band playing behind a screen showing animation. The band also just wrapped up “filming” the video for their song “Bloodrocuted” from The Dethalbum.

Dethklok, everyone’s favorite animated metal thrasher band and the stars of [adult swim] program METALOCALPSE have an album due out in a few weeks. We thought you would be interested in seeing what the album art for The Dethalbum was going to be. Time to bask in it’s awesomeness.

The album will be released on September 25 through Williams Street Records, also available as a deluxe edition featuring 7 additional songs, a music video and the first episode of the new season.

Set the TiVos to record ROBOT CHICKEN on June 17th at 10pm for that’s the date they are going to debut the Robot Chicken Star Wars episodes.

The half-hour episode is a teaming up of the RC crew and one George Lucas, who was on hand to supervise the progress of the show.

George Lucas and Mark Hamill will reunite for “Robot Chicken: Star Wars,” a 30-minute stop-motion animation special for Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s programming block.

The special spoofs key scenes and favorite characters from the “Star Wars” universe. It was done in collaboration with Lucas’ production company Lucasfilm. Lucas, the creator of the “Star Wars” franchise, will voice a cartoon version of himself, and Hamill will resurrect Luke Skywalker.

It will be a 30 minute episode completely dedicated to the movie Star Wars and will have a reunion between the movie’s creator George Lucas and Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. The show will debut on June 17 at 10pm.
