VIDEO: Against Me! | “Borne On The FM Waves Of The Heart”

It seems AGAINST ME! are on a mission to make a video for every song on their most recent album, New Wave. With such a solid album chock full of great tunes, it’s not terribly hard to see why that’s an alluring option. The latest is for “Borne On The FM Waves Of The Heart,” aka the ballad/duet on the record. It’s a strong song that could work on making fans of mellower music AM! fans.

Tegan Quinn (Tegan And Sarah) handles the female vocal duties on the track and is featured in the video. AM! frontman Tom Gable met Quinn a few years back, during a mutual admiration discussion Quinn stated that she’d love to record something with AM! if the opportunity every presented itself. Gabel then wrote “Borne…” with Quinn in mind for the female lead. The result was a song about a couple trying to decide if it’s better to remain together or break up, and definitely a new love song for all the young punks out there.
