DIVISION OF LAURA LEE have been pretty quiet since they released Das Not Compute 4 years ago. It was a moderate follow-up to their amazing Black City which thrusted them into the limelite, showcasing their style of garage-rock-with-an-air-of-the-dark-and-dramatic.

It was definitely one of those albums that spent a lot of time in our cd players singin’ jams like “Trapped In”, “The Truth Is Fucked” and “Black City” making us dance and rock out at the same time. They were helping to push a new wave of Swedish garage rock that washed the likes of The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, The (International) Noise Conspiracy and Sahara Hotnights into the American psyche.

After a few years of quiet time, DOLL are mounting a return. They have a new album, Violence Is Timeless that’s seeing a release on October 29th on I Made This records. The band posted a video and free Mp3 of their first single, “Central Park” on a mini-site that was created for the new album.

But to tease the album even further, they will release a new video for each track on the album every week. To quote the band themselves, “You Need To Get Some.”
