Radiohead | Cruzan Amphitheater, FL | 5.6.2008 | By Sarah Landman

Kicking off their North American tour last night at the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, the genius that is RADIOHEAD did it yet again…a life changing performance on so many levels.

After an intense performance by the NYC art-rock trio, Liars, the sun began to set in beautiful south Florida while the tech crew dressed the stage. Life began to surface in the form of lights and two large Tibetan flags – a selfless reminder to all.

Radiohead not only reminds us of what life is about through their music, but through the campaigning of their political beliefs and sales of eco-friendly merch - like their SIGG water bottle that I soooo had to buy!

So the sun sets, seats fill up and lights out…you know the drill. Then the [no longer] label-less Englishmen take the stage.

Thom Yorke, looking sharp in a white suit jacket (which stayed on for all of one song – the opening one: “All I Need”) takes the stage along with Johnny Greenwood, big bro bassist Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Phil Selway…and the rest is history.

Saying these guys were ‘amazing’ or ‘incredible’ doesn’t do them justice. Radiohead is an experience, to see them live is one that will change your life.

Awesome post and pics, I just paid a small fortune for tix to the Amsterdam show - totally convinced that it’ll so be worth it - thanks for reaffirming that!
