Alife Rivington Club The topic of this post brings up two of the central issues targeted in the movie Joe Versus the Volcano – Luggage, and Fashion. Can’t help it, I just love that movie.

Regardless, what we’ve got today is the announcement from the Alife Rivington Club that they’ve got the new 2008 New Balance Super Team 33 pack in-store and ready to ship. The theme of this collection being…luggage.

That’s right, the ultra high-end line from New Balance that launched last year is back for ’08, with their first collection coming in three shoes themed on three styles of travel gear.

Croc The first up for the season is the “Croc”
The perfect addition for a trip to Italy (or Little Italy), these skinned sneaks will go nicely with your linen sportjacket and attache case, while keepin’ it real for Crockett and Tubbs.

Trunk Second up we’ve got the “Trunk”
A perfact shoe for when you’re floating on a piece of wreckage from an iceberg-riddled Steamship. You were once King of The World, and you’d better have the shoes to match.

Third, and Final, the “Swiss Army”
You might be passive, standing alone in the world as a bastian of neutrality, but who’s to say your gear can’t have some hidden surprises with stylish functionality in tow?

Don’t try to get these sneakers at your average shoe store, or through the New Balance site. This line is high-end and goes to the top 33 new balance account retailers only. Hence the name – Super Team 33.

As for me… I think I’ll enlist in the Swiss Army - No combat, and a surplus of style.
