2. Explosions In The Sky - All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone
3. Four Year Strong - Rise or Die Trying
4. Kanye West - Graduation
5. Minus The Bear - Planet Of Ice
6. Mustache! - Babes Say The Hottest Things
7. Mutemath - Reset
8. Paulson All At Once (Re-Master)
9. Shadows Fall Threads Of Life
10. Thursday Kill The House Lights

Paulson rocked 2007 because…
PaulsonWhen I first saw Paulson it was about 2 years ago at a small club in NJ. I had heard of the local Jersey band but never actually heard them. I was sold on them that night. In fact so much that I went directly to their merch booth and purchased both of their CD’s. This year a re-release of All At Once came out on Doghouse records and even though I had most of the songs, the 3 new ones were such pleasant surprise that I can’t wait for a new CD to come out. I got my fingers crossed for one in 2008, ’til then I’ll just have to play the All At Once re-master over and over.

Favorite Thing Of The Year: My favorite thing of the year has probably been origami calendar. Today I made a boot…maybe I will wear it later.

What did you wish you did more of in 2007? I wish I did more snowboarding in 2007, but I wish that just about every year.

What are you looking forward to in 2008? In 2008 I’m looking forward to getting more steak dinners.

What do you do when you are MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA and sitting around in your garage with Kevin Jones of The Snake, The Cross, The Crown? You pick up your instruments and cover Weezer’s “El Scorcho.” That’s what you do.

Paul Yeskel

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Paul Yeskel, one of, if not the most important person in the history of The Syndicate passed away yesterday. Paul owned AIM Strategies which was born from his former company AIM Marketing. Five of the Six owners of The Syndicate were employed by Paul at AIM Marketing where they met and would later form The Syndicate.

Ten years later, we still have furniture and programs given to us from Paul to help start our company. Paul was a gentle-hearted man who gave us a platform to grow and learn. He meant the world to us and we send out our best wishes to his family.

VIDEO: Against Me! | “New Wave”

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

AGAINST ME! have another video. Rather than going the dump-some-wine-on-us-while-we’re-rocking route of their last video, this is a collection of live clips from them on the road. Since the band is always on tour it 1) makes sense for a live clip video and 2) really gives you no excuse for you to miss them live. 2007 has been a pretty amazing year for the band and 2008 is shaping up to be just as kickass.

That’s the question, KANYE WEST or DAFT PUNK? Our vote is for the French dudes that don’t talk and just rock.

The Viral Videos For Walk Hard Finally Reach The Backlash Stage

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

There’s been a strong online push for the upcoming Judd Apatow movie, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story but it all seems to have come to a head with this latest one staring many of the Apatow clan (Paul Rudd, Justin Long, and Jonah Hill) and Craig Robinson (of The Office). It’s a nice sumation of 2007 in pop culture in a very self-aware viral marking video. If tasteless jokes and a hefty amount of profanity is your thing, definitely don’t sleep on this one.

The Dark Knight Trailer Finally Reveals It’s Clown-Painted Head

The Dark Knight Trailer

After months of teasing, leaking pictures, and viral marketing campaigns, we are finally treated to a legit trailer of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. This is great since we can now have great shots of Heath Ledger’s Joker and Christian Bale’s Batman. It might be time to start comparisons between Ledger and Jack Nicholson’s portrayals of The Joker now. This trailer leaves us with just a few questions, the main one being why no Harvey Dent/Aaron Eckhart shots?
