Wednesday, October 31st, 2007
Indiana’s MURDER BY DEATH have inked a deal with Vagrant Records. The band is right in the middle of recording a new album, titled Red Of Tooth And Claw at Dark Horse Studios in Tennesee.
“We are thrilled to be working with Vagrant and we’re really excited about the new album,” says Adam Turla, the band’s frontman. Red of Tooth and Claw is about a journey filled with revenge, trials of the gods, and sirens… gorgeous, terrifying sirens. It’s our most consistent album we’ve written.”
It’s great to see Vagrant continue branching outside of the “emo” pigeonhole they’ve had for some years now. Recent additions of diverse acts like Thrice and The Hold Steady and now The Death definitely makes it clear.
The new album will see the light of day in the spring of 2008. Get some!
Being big fans in the office, we’ve been anticipating the upcoming
This weekend marked the highly anticipate release of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. It seems like everyone we know went out and purchased the game. Some even going to the lengths of waiting outside a store until midnight to be one of the first people to grab the game off the shelves.
The entire setlist for the upcoming video game Rock Band has been announced. The songs span the last 4 decades of popular rock music (even though the 60’s aren’t represented really well).
The space that used to play host to the legendary punk club CBGB is once again opening its doors. But it’s not in the way that we would hope or think. The space has remainded closed since the club shut its doors about a year ago. So will music ride high again in the little place on the Bowery? No! Damn!
