Every time Jawbox comes up on random on my iPod I hope for a reunion tour annoucement. Since it’s not coming any time soon, check out one of J. Robbins’ newly produced projects. The band is called AVEC. They are from Baltimore and this song is pretty awesome. It’s from their upcoming album Lines, due out September 11th.

This is really interesting. It reminds me a lot of Engine Down (ex members of Denali, etc). The way the rhythm section works together… the male/female vocal interchange… odd time signatures… is there any relationship with the members of Denali? Good stuff.
