Supergrass Bassist, Sleepwalks, Breaks Back

SUPERGRASS have put all their touring plans on hold due to a very freaky accident. The band’s bassist, Mick Quinn has broken his back.

According to the band’s website, Quinn was sleepwalking and fell out of a first floor window of a villa he was staying at in the South of France. Quinn was immediatley sent to a specialist spinal unit in Toulouse where surgeons had to operate to repair two broken vertebrae as well as a smashed heel. He’s expected to make a full recovery though it could take months.

The band has just completed a new record due out in the new year.

The band’s frontman Gaz Coombes told BBC “We hope the crazy fool gets back on his feet as soon as possible. I’m sure he’ll make a full recovery; he’s a tough cookie.”
