BLACKFIELD II TO BE RELEASED ON MARCH 6

Blackfield is a collaboration between Israeli singer songwriter Aviv Geffen and British musician and producer Steven Wilson (also of Porcupine Tree). Blackfield II will be released by We Put Out in conjunction with Atlantic Records on March 6th.

Formed in 2001 after a meeting between Porcupine Tree frontman/producer Steven Wilson & Israeli singer/songwriter Aviv Geffen, the partnership blossomed into a cross-cultural collaboration as an exceptional new duo, Blackfield.

Now, following a series of new recording sessions in Israel and the UK between February-June 2006, the two have reunited for the hypnotic Blackfield II, a collection of rich, melancholy-tinged rock songs, produced by Wilson himself.

Aviv Geffen is a highly successful solo artist and outspoken peace campaigner, and has a string of gold albums in Israel.
